• ABOUT PH1 •

PH1 Studios is a collaborative project between two Toronto based artists.
Together this duo explores the idea of bold colours and textures.

• THE PROCESS •

PH1 Studios hand paints every single one of their pieces in their studio
workshop in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Using encaustic paint (wax), all of our artwork is hand-crafted onto wooden
panels. By painting directly to the surface of the encaustic wax painting we
create a fusion between a textured abstract painting and a high quality
decoration.

With all our pieces, we embrace the imperfections. One of our favorite
qualities of the wax is its ability to draw people in to take a closer look at
– Encaustic was has the ability to build texture and create layers
